SCHOOL UNIFORM RULES

  • A student must always come to school in a neat, tidy, and clean uniform.
  • Students must attend all school examinations, school functions/activities, farewell, and PTMs, in or outside the school, in school uniform only.
  • Sports uniform is to be worn when the students have sports/games period or sports activity stated in the schedule for that particular day. The Sports Uniform will change in the next academic session. A detailed circular in this regard will be shared with the parents.
  • Parents should not purchase oversized uniforms. The length of the shorts (primary wing) should be one inch above the knee & the skirt should be knee-length.
  • Students should wear shorts/trousers/skirts only from the upper waist.
  • The scarf or the woolen cap worn by the students during the winter must be of navy-blue colour only. Students are not allowed to wear other caps in the school.
  • ID-Card for all is an integral part of the school uniform and must be worn at all times. Ensure that your ward wears the previous session's ID Card till the new ones are ready. In case of new admission, make the child wear a temporary ID Card issued by the school.
  • Every student should carry a clean & ironed handkerchief to school every day without fail.
  • Students who wear spectacles must ensure that the frame is black. Coloured and/or fancy frames are not allowed.
  • The students are not allowed to wear any expensive jewellery, i.e. fancy wristwatch, bracelets, nose-pins, rings on fingers, elaborate earrings, or any other sort of jewellery to school.
  • The students may wear an inexpensive, simple watch from Grade VI onwards.
  • If your child (girl) has pierced her ears, please ensure she only wears a pair of small, gold or silver studs in school.
  • Body piercing and tattooing of any sort are strictly forbidden for students.
  • Girls are not allowed to apply nail polish on their nails.
  • Girls with long hair should plait their hair. Girls must wear hair bands/clips of black colour on the school campus, inside the bus, as well as outside the school campus while representing the school.
  • Colouring, bleaching or highlighting of hair is not permitted.
  • Boys should get their hair cut regularly and ensure it remains combed and tidy. Fancy haircuts are not permitted. The length of the hair should be as per army cut. No student is allowed to apply hair gel. Sikh boys must wear white/navy blue coloured patkas/turbans.
  • Slippers/sandals or shoes other than the pattern the school recommends will not be allowed.
  • Students' blazers or sweaters must carry an indelible identity mark on the inner part for identification in case it is misplaced or lost.
  • The school reserves the right to send the child back home if he/she is not in the proper school uniform (as per school norms).
  • It is mandatory for all students to wear uniforms as prescribed by the school. It has been observed that some students use uniforms that do not conform to the prescribed colour and design. Non-compliance with the School Uniform rules will result in disciplinary action and the students who are not in complete/neat and tidy uniforms can be debarred from boarding the bus/entering the School campus. Repeated offense will result in the suspension of the child.
